Sierra Vista Unified School District is excited to announce that Stephanie Quiroz will be the new principal at Town & Country Elementary! Mrs. Quiroz has been the principal at PDS for the past two years and we are excited to see her spirit and enthusiasm come to our Road Runners!
Let’s meet Ms. Quiroz!
Greetings Parents, Guardians, and Students:
My name is Stephanie Quiroz, and I am honored to be part of the Town and Country Elementary School family. Sierra Vista has been my home for the past nine years. Before moving to Arizona, I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. Upon graduation from Pacific High School, I attended Saint Louis Community College with a focus on General Studies. I can vividly remember at the young age of four, I had a passion for attending school and playing school with my younger sister. Upon graduation from SLCC, I followed my passion for teaching and began my bachelor’s degree at Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri. Initially, my degree was in Elementary Education, but I quickly realized my interest in Special Education. In 2012, I graduated from Webster University with a degree in Mild to Moderate Disabilities.
I began teaching at Iveland Elementary in Overland, Missouri as a Special Education K-6 Resource teacher in 2013. I then leaped to Sierra Vista, Arizona, where I continued teaching at Bella Vista Elementary as the K-3 Resource teacher. Since being in Sierra Vista, I have taught at Town and Country and Village Meadows and worked during our summer programs every summer. While working many roles in the Sierra Vista Unified School District, starting in 2018, I began my journey with Northern Arizona University to complete my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Principalship. I completed my first two years as an administrator at Pueblo del Sol Elementary, and I look forward to continuing my leadership journey at Town and Country Elementary.
As an educational leader, I firmly believe in supporting and creating positive relationships with students, staff, and our families to support student achievement. I am eager to continue expanding and building relationships with students, staff, and families, focusing on our commitment to Inspiring Excellence in All. As we continue this journey together, our focus will be on the following:
Intentionally plan instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals and implements Universal Design for Learning.
All students will show growth and increase achievement by 20% increases on the Galileo benchmark, Acadience, and State AASA state assessment.
Town and Country will improve student achievement and increase parent engagement.
I am excited about joining this community and partnering with you to ensure the success of our Road Runners!
Sincerely,
Stephanie Quiroz
Principal
